From Geneva: Full-Day Trip to Chamonix and Mont-Blanc
427 ReviewsHop onto a bus from Geneva to discover the quaint, well-known Alpine skiing village of Chamonix.
Le Chalet Charamillon is easily accessible right next to the arrival station of the main Le Tour bubble lift, so can be accessed by all the family on foot or on skis.
The chalet, which boasts a traditional alpine chalet style, has a huge wooden balcony terrace and even more space on the snow behind the building. This means you can sip a vin chaud whilst gazing down the length of the valley back towards Chamonix and beyond.
Inside there is the 'Salle Hors Sac' for picnics and shelter from the snow, then the takeaway area serving paninis, hot dogs and sandwiches has 38 seats inside and 68 outside. The main part of the chalet is the self-service restaurant.
A bit like a canteen, expect to grab a tray and queue up during busy periods in the school holidays. The menu is typical ski restaurant fayre with spaghetti bolognaise, tartiflette, beef bourguignon and a carvery too.
There is also a special lunch 'formule' which is a main and dessert for 13,80€ between 11:00 and 15:00.
