Andy Perkins is a mountain guide based in Chamonix. He holds the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) carnet. This is the legal requirement to guide on glacial terrain in the European Alps. Based in the Chamonix Valley and looking directly towards Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe, he offers guiding services in all mountain activities.
Activities that are available are, off-piste skiing, ski touring and ice climbing in the winter season, and alpine mountaineering in the summer. He can also offer rock climbing, big wall climbing and expeditions to remote areas, film safety work and instruction in rope access and rescue techniques.
Living in Chamonix with all that the Valley offers, such as, skiing and mountaineering potential. About half Andy's work is based here in the valley. He operates frequently in other parts of the Alps, such as Tignes/Val d’Isere, Zermatt and Saas Fee. Outside the Alps, he climbs in the Scottish mountains during the winter and has a wealth of expedition experience in Patagonia, Arctic Norway and the Himalaya
Having gained a vast amount of experience from over 20 years of skiing and mountaineering, he gets huge satisfaction from passing that experience on to others. Whatever your ambitions in the mountains, it's his mission and pleasure to help turn your dreams into reality.
